Easy to use

A very easy app to use. Very helpful in keeping track of species seen. Highly recommend

Love it

Great app, 2 improvements would be to have the keyboard setting not automatically be on numbers. Love it though

Indispensable

If you record birds seen, you use this.

Solid update

My #2 favorite CLO app (after Merlin of course!).

Use every birding trip

This is the only bird tracking software I use. Love it.

Overall pretty good

I like that it is easy to create a new checklist but wish it had more of the features from the website such as "explore hotspots" and ability to add photos & details when creating the list.

Great App!

Fantastic. Glad they finally came out with the app and the direct link to eBird so you dont have to go through 3rd party apps.

Best app to load data onto ebird

This app makes entering your records into ebird very simple. I would like to see an option of sharing the list with other birders right from the app instead of needing to log into the web.

Fun

This app makes my birding more fun by far. Im more engaged in the outing when entering my data in real time, and post my results immediately. No trying to remember what I saw. Enjoying the app greatly.

Convenience while on the go

This app allows me to file my reports while Im still in the field while everything is fresh on my mind. It makes the entire entry process easy.

Count or checklist

I use this app as a checklist, not to do counts. Its gotten a like easier to use for quick entry, but could be improved enormously. I might be wrong, but my guess is most people us g guys arent giving a count, but are giving a species count. Its very time consuming to go back and put an x for every bird. It should be a default. I would give anything to have battle checklist, like what j have veered in Excel,?where I click on a cell and it gives me a check mark. But still, this is the best app I have found for bird checklist purposes.

Excellent

Definitely an excellent app. There are improvements that should be made, however, such as syncing lists and totals with eBird.org. Hopefully they continue to develop the app based on customer feedback. Definitely like the ability to tap the left side of the species name to increment counter.

Handy

App is convenient to use, whether online or not. Adds interest to birding and makes me more conscious of which birds I find and their number.

Thank You

eBird has turned my lifetime hobby from an occasional outing to a daily engagement with the birds around me. Im able to see migration and general behavior patterns Ive never noticed before, even in my own backyard. And its a pleasure to feel a part of citizen science in a way my four year old can appreciate. (She loves clicking the quantities and is learning new species daily thanks to the app.) We look forward to the app allowing for drop down choices to enter details like gender, stage of development and behavior...any time soon?! Thank you for creating such an excellent standard...I imagine all of the natural world will eventually be catalogued and shared this way.

Review

This app is great on the field. The only complaint I have is that you cant give the age and sex details or the breeding codes. I feel like that might be useful.

Great for Citizen Science

As a bird monitor and birding enthusiast, I truly love this app. Every update has been great, and I only know 1-2 birders who dont use this great app.

Works well, and easy to use

This app, along with the Merlin Bird ID app, have made me into an enthusiastic bird watcher. I was looking for something to keep track of when and where I was seeing birds, and this app just does that. The fact that the data is shared to help others is an added bonus.

So useful!

How nice it is to be able to do eBird entries in real time, in the field. No dreaded paperwork at the end of the day.

Magnificent

A perfect way to record your birding! As a beginner it also helps you learn and identify unfamiliar birds. Grateful to this app- much fun.

Super helpful!

Makes it really easy to submit field observations to the ebird site. Recommended for all birders and citizen scientists!
